The website has been put together by Professor Little and a team of health experts.

Paul Little is a Professor of Primary Care Research at the University of Southampton, and for over 30 years he was a GP seeing patients every week. As well as having experience of treating people with viruses, he is an international expert on these infections. He works with the Department of Health and the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) advising them on respiratory infections – viruses that affect the sinuses, throat, airways or lungs.

The team is made up of people from UK Universities who are working together to find ways to lower the spread of viruses and reduce the illnesses they cause. They include health psychologists who wrote the information on the website, and doctors and virologists who provided clinical advice. We also asked members of the public to give us feedback on how to make our advice more useful, clear and helpful.
