Fresh air:

Having windows and doors open as often as possible lets fresh air come in and viruses get out of your classroom. This means that less virus collects in the air around you. This is even more important when there are lots of people in a room together.

Research has shown that when possible, safely opening windows and/or doors often is a good way to stop the virus collecting in the air and/or landing on surfaces.

In colder months, it can be difficult to stay warm when windows are open. It might be a good idea to take some extra layers to school to keep warm. Check with your teacher about whether you can wear some extra layers of clothing during the day.
